Purdue and the weekend

All the experts predicted Purdue to get beat in the first round this weekend. They lost their starting point guard for the first half of the season. They lost their starting power forward and possibly best player for the season at the worst possible time. They lost a key newcomer and one that was to provide frontcourt depth before the season even started. The “experts” have dismissed them as a team with not enough talent, then as one that can't overcome the loss of one player. And now they are in the Sweet 16 for the second straight year. I consider that a huge accomplishment considering they have only had their projected starting lineup for 7 games. Below is the shot to tie the game and Kramer after he made the game winning shot.

Speaking of Purdue I traveled to West Lafayette this weekend. The weather was great and the bars were fun.

That's me on the center of the court

This picture was taken by the team lockers. We probably shouldn't have been in there but my personal tour guide was feeling rebellious!

There are many more pictures to the right on my shutterfly site.
